Childcare is provided during the 10 AM service for children in kindergarten and younger.
We have a baby nursery for children from birth through age 2 and a toddler/preschool nursery for children from age 2-Kindergarten.
During the Christian Education hour (11 AM - Noon) nursery care is provided for children under the age of 3. All children age 3 and older are invited to attend Sunday School.
Childcare is also provided for special services and events as announced or requested.

Children's Chapel occurs during the 10 o'clock service. Children in kindergarten through 3rd grade begin the service in the church, then follow the Crucifer to the Chapel on the lower level during the Hymn of Praise (in ordinary time) or the Trisagion (during Lent).
At Children's Chapel they hear the gospel of the day and do related activities at their own level. The children rejoin their parents upstairs at the offertory.

Dates To Remember
The 1st Sunday of every month - The loose offering goes to the Rector's Discretionary Fund. This fund is used to assist people on an emergency basis.
The 15th of every month - This is the last day to submit items for publication in The Clarion, our monthly newsletter.

Thank you for visiting our website. The pages of this website are intended to give you a taste of life at Christ Church as we seek and serve Christ in the city of Springfield, Ohio.
The members of Christ Church come from many denominations, backgrounds and lifestyles, yet all have found it a place to call home. We hope you too will find it to be a loving community.
I was asked for a word or phrase that describes Christ Church. There are so many, it was hard to choose just one. “Strong outreach”, “wonderful music” and “active youth” all came to mind, but the one I chose was “lay leadership”. The ministries of Christ Church are as rich and varied as the members themselves, ranging from housing the homeless and feeding the hungry, tutoring young people, inviting the community to glorious concerts, nourishing souls with rich worship and educational opportunities.
When I arrived here I was amazed at all that is accomplished here. Now, I'm still amazed, humbled and deeply grateful. Christ Church is a place that takes the ministry of all baptized persons seriously, and by doing so, we are able to do incredible things to serve God in this place.
While our website will give you a glimpse of life at Christ Church, we invite you to join us for Sunday worship to experience our life together first hand, and to become involved in any of our ministries to which you feel called. You are invited to become a part of this continuing story we call the Episcopal Church. If I can answer any questions or provide further information about Christ Church, please send me an email.
Please be sure to take advantage of all this site has to offer and create an account.
Please contact the if you have any questions.

The Feast of All Saints: The Wittenberg University Choir will be at Christ Church as we celebrate this major feast day. A reception will follow the service. Christian Education will occur as usual for the children and youth. Reminder: additional parking is available at Custom Tire Company. The Wittenberg Choir will sing the introit at 9:55am, so please be on time!
Stewardship Sunday: As we remember those who have gone before us at Christ Church, we offer our pledges to support the ministry of this parish both now and in the future. If you have not already turned in your pledge card, please do so this Sunday. Pledge cards will be blessed at both services. The Budget Committee will begin work on the 2011 budget in the next week and knowing what we have to work with is most helpful. (Also the prompt return of our pledge cards saves Anita many hours of follow-up phone calls and letters.)

Day of Change: Set your clocks back an hour Saturday night and bring your change to church to make a change in the lives of those who are hungry. The change will be given to the Rainbow Table, which serves a hot meal each Friday at noon.
