Welcome to David's Cemetery.
The beauty and uniqueness of David's Cemetery is evident to families who visit our picturesque cemetery each year. Davids Cemetery is in the heart of Kettering, and has been serving this community for more than six generations. Davids Cemetery was dedicated in 1826 as a place of burial. The first burial took place on August 5, 1831, a 6-year old boy, Noah Darner.
Within the cemetery you will find our beautiful grounds as well as our three mausoleums; David's, Memorial and Community. Our Community Mausoleum has a larger chapel and a gathering room for after-service fellowship and/or community meetings and events. With over 55 acres and 2 miles of paved roads, Davids is the final resting place to over 12,000 people. Of the 55 acres, 23 acres remain for future development, making Davids not only one of the most affordable but accessible cemeteries in the greater Dayton area.
On the grounds you will find areas dedicated to those who served our country including soldiers from the War of 1812 to the Persian Gulf. Many local business, service, and political dignitaries are buried at Davids Cemetery. Davids is one of the historically significant sites in the Dayton area. Historical walking tour maps are available for walking through the cemetery to view these significant grave sites. Some had worldwide fame, others were known throughout the Dayton area. But most were known only by the friends and family who loved them and wanted the assurance that they would be memorialized in the most caring, dignified, and respectful manner possible.
While on the grounds of Davids Cemetery, you are likely to come across our population of animals including deer, opossums, ground hogs, birds, rabbits and squirrels. Amidst the natural setting at the cemetery, you will see many varieties of trees and plant life.
Our staff is available to help you with a burial or a visit to a loved one. Our interment records are available at Burials on the Web. We can be contacted by phone at 937 434-2255 or email at davidscemetery.com.
