WINTER SPORTS ELIGIBILITY
Please remember that students in basketball and cheerleading must maintain a 75% average or higher in each subject to be eligible to participate. Grades are evaluated weekly.

VCS SENIOR CLASS SPAGHETTI DINNER
On Monday, November 22nd, the senior class will be having a spaghetti dinner from 4:00 - 7:00 pm during Parent Teacher Conferences. The actual tickets will be needed in order to get your dinner. Carry out is available! Call the school if you have any questions. Thanks for your support!

When you turn any forms or money into the school, please put your child's name and what it is for on each item. This will be of great help to the office, so we know who to give that item to, and also to the person that receives that item, so they know who it is from. Thanks for your understanding.
VCS STUDENT DRESS CODE

Dress Code Reminders: Boys in elementary school must wear belts with shirts tucked in on Chapel day. Also, shorts and sandals are no longer permitted until April.

If you should have any old cell phones that you dont use, please donate them to the school. This will get them out of your house and help raise money for the school. They can be turned into the office.
Thank you to all who turned in your Campbell's Labels for Education. We sent in over 1,000 points just in the first quarter of school. Please continue to turn them in to the school. The more points, the better selection the school gets to choose from. God Bless you in helping to make this possible.
Please continue to send in your pop can tabs. We will be sending the can tabs we collect to the local Hospice organization. Thanks!
LOST & FOUND
If you or your child has lost something, a good place to check is in the office. When others find misplaced items they bring them there. We already have a few items waiting to be claimed, including a large ceramic bowl left from the school picnic.
OHIO'S CHILD PASSENGER SAFETY LAW
Effective October 7th, children younger than 8 - unless they are at least 4' 9"- must use a booster seat. This new law - combined with existing laws requiring children younger than 4 years old and less than 40 pounds to use a child safety seat; and children 8 to 15 to use a safety seat or seat belt. Full enforcement will begin April 7, 2010, with fines ranging from $25 - $75 per violation. It is important that you provide the proper equipment if your child is going on a field trip.

Last November, VCS helped to send off the 475th Quarter Master Unit from Farrell, PA. They are coming home! Come out to welcome them back Saturday, November 20th, 1:30pm at the Farrell VFW, 1233 Idaho Street, Farrell, PA.

This is the beginning of an outreach effort to many of our alumni and alumnae.
