The Lincoln Moving & Storage Co. opened in 1904. In 1975, Lawrence H. Roush, owner of Parma Movers (www.parmamovers.com), purchased Lincoln. Over the years, we outgrew our 7 story warehouse and office at University Circle and moved to Brooklyn, Ohio in 1998 where we have been headquartered ever since. Conveniently located off I-480 just between I-71 and I-77, and just minutes to downtown Cleveland, this is the perfect location!
On May 1, 2008 - John Alianello, Vice President of Agency Development for Bekins Van Lines announced us as the newest Bekins agent, serving the Cleveland, Akron, Canton & Mansfield, Ohio marketplaces for residential and office moving. Lincoln operates a 53,000 square foot heated warehouse equipped with an alarm and sprinkler system and offers records and containerized storage. The new Bekins agent is owned by the Roush, Dietrich, and Carcioppolo families with Gene Dietrich serving as President.
John Alianello stated, "We are pleased to have The Lincoln Moving & Storage Company as the newest member of the Bekins family. They have such a rich history in the Cleveland, OH area and we are pleased that this quality focused organization has joined our organization". Anne Dietrich added, "our transition to being a Bekins agent has truly been a pleasant experience. After decades in the moving and storage industry, it is a re-energizing experience to be working with Bekins, whose ethics and missions parallel those of our family business. We look forward to becoming a strong and integral part of Bekins for both booking and hauling."
