AGGRESSIVE STATE AND FEDERAL LEGAL REPRESENTATION IN EMPLOYMENT AND LABOR DISPUTES
WHAT I DO: I represent people from all walks of life in litigation in the State of Ohio and the federal court system, including the U.S. and Ohio Supreme Courts, all Ohio Courts of Common Pleas, all Ohio Municipal Courts, Ohio U.S. District Courts, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 5th and 6th Circuits in New Orleans and Cincinnati respectively, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
HOW I DO IT: I am a licensed attorney and counselor at law. I have over 15 years of experience and have represented or counseled over 1000 clients. I have been lead trial counsel in multi-million dollar civil litigation and major felony defense cases and everything in between.
WHAT I LIKE BEST: I have extensive experience in three major areas: Employment rights and labor relations litigation, toxic or chemical poisoning injuries litigation, and major felony defense cases.
WHY I AM DIFFERENT: I went to law school to make a difference in our society by correcting injustice. My whole life has been spent in the service of others, fighting for those who cannot fight for themselves. Prior to becoming a lawyer, I was a Captain in the United States Marine Corps infantry, a steelworker, and an industrial plant manager. I am also a criminologist and a licensed airplane pilot. My alma maters are Indiana University-Bloomington for my criminology training, and the University of Akron law school, where I was a three-time member of the moot court team and clerked for a judge while a law student. I am a member of the American Trial Lawyer's Association and the Ohio State Bar Association. Being a lawyer is not merely a job to me; it is my purpose in life.
CURRENT HOT CASE LIST: I am lead counsel for the Appellee-Plaintiff in Leininger v. Pioneer National Latex, an age discrimination case that may change the course of Ohio discrimination law, now pending oral argument in the Ohio Supreme Court. See Case Number 2006-1304. The Defendant-Appellant is appealing my victory in this case from the Ohio 5th District Court of Appeals. This case will be the third discrimination case I have argued before the high court.
