The Wayne County Board of Developmental Disabilities (WCBDD) is an agency serving Wayne County residents with disabilities.
The mission of the WCBDD, in partnership with enrollees, families, staff, and the community, is to provide choice and options based on individual and family preferences enabling a quality of life satisfying to the individual in learning, living, working, and participation in the community.
This web site is designed as an informational resource for individuals with developmental disabilities, their family members and service providers. We list services provided and available within Wayne County as well as contacts within our agency.
To meet the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities living in Wayne County, the Board operates early intervention programs, pre-school programs, school age programs, adult services, residential services, service coordination, behavior support services, family support services and transportation services.
August 1, 2010 - Dave Ashley becomes the 4th Superintendent of the Wayne County Board of Developmental Disabilities replacing John Tooley, who retired July 31, 2010.
July 31, 2010 - The Ida Sue School and Nick Amster Workshop will hold their 11th Annual Benefit Auction at 10 am at the Kidron Auction - Sprunger Building. For more information, contact Cheryl Brinley at 330-264-4086.
July 2 & 5, 2010: Program closed for 4th of July.
May 31, 2010: The Ida Sue School and Nick Amster Workshop will be closed for Memorial Day.
May 25, 2010: Eight students will graduate from Ida Sue School.
