All of Portage Family Medicines doctors are Family Practice physicians, providing care for anyone, from newborns to 90-year-olds and beyond. Portage Family Medicine offers many types of medical care, from simple acute illnesses to management of chronic diseases such as asthma, diabetes, coronary artery disease, and hypertension. Minor surgeries for mole removal, skin lesions, and ingrown toenails are available, as well as procedures including steroid joint injections for chronic pain.
Portage Family Medicine can also provide annual physicals, including well woman, well child, employment, and sports exams, and prevention/screening exams for cervical cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, and osteoporosis. Available in-house testing includes nuclear stress testing, pulmonary function testing, ultrasound imaging, echocardiograms, and Biomedix vascular testing--no trip to the hospital needed!
The office extended its hours, to better accommodate todays busy lifestyle. The office is open Monday 7:30 AM to 5 PM, Tuesday through Thursday 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM, and Friday 8 AM to 5 PM. A doctor is always available on-call during closed times by contacting Robinson Memorial Hospital.
