"He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."

We are excited about the new direction and additions to of the youth and children Ministry. For the children we have added, The TV Anchor newsroom, Computer Lab Development , Puppets, Arts and Music ministries. This is only the beginning.

"As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. "Come, follow me," Jesus said, and I will make you fishers of men. At once they left their nets and followed him."

Peter and Andrew were expert fishermen, they were troubled as to why their nets remained empty. They had worked all night, throwing their nets into the lake and catching nothing. They must have been exhausted and about to quit when Jesus showed up. The scripture says the Peter and Andrew, following Jesus, caught more fish than they knew what to do with.

Our call is the same, of course we are not catching fish, instead we have been called to fish and catch people. Fishing and catching people means that we are so ignited by our contact with Christ that we will in turn like Peter and Andrew chose to leave our nets to follow Christ, empowering friends, family, neighbors to the same. We believe we have been called to invest in personal relationships with others, to equip them for leading a life of wholeness as well as empowering others to be of service to people everywhere.

If you need a sense of hope, we believe what John Buchan once said, The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.

We are a people of hope, a people on fire for Christ. We are a people who empower, equip and serve others.

We are a family who laughs together, crys together, learns and studies together, prays together, and works together. Our table is huge and there will always be plenty of room for others. Everyone is welcome at the table. No matter your age, social standing, education, race, gender, or sexual orientation.

Come visit with us as you are, no need to get all dressed up (unless you want to). Stop by and join us. Our doors are open to everyone.

Powered by the Holy Spirit, 'Rethink Church' serves as a catalyst that moves the denomination, and those we hope to reach, into dialogue -- and ultimately, into transformative, collaborative action. What if church were a verb? What would it look like? In support of this goal, here are Scriptures, ideas, and new ministry tools for your church.
