Presented by the Greene County Association of Garden Clubs, and held at Knollwood each year, this marks the Silver Anniversary of the event!
The weekend of Knollwood's Christmas Open House,
Nov. 13th and 14th,
the flower show is open to anyone, not just Garden Club members. (Pre-registration is required.)

In honor of the Anniversary, the artistic classes for this show are a sample of classes from the past. The class names include the year and the overall show theme. View/Print a copy of the rules and class descriptions here or on our Resources page. Ribbons will be given along with judges comments.
Reservations for artistic classes must be made by November 11, 2010. Those making reservations are responsible for seeing that an entry is filled. The contact person for reservations is Babs Sabick, 426-0861, (cell) 477-3096 or bsabick@knollwoodgardens.com

Family Time In The Garden
by Knollwood on October 20, 2010 at 12:00pm
Family time is at a premium for many of us now that school and all the associated activities are back in swing. Spending a little time together in the garden is a great way to get your fall chores done and have a little fun in the process.
Getting kids outdoors is pretty easy when there are piles of leaves to jump in after a long day cooped up in a school room, and it's also a great season to get them involved in your gardening. Planting spring bulbs is a great, easy project for kids to help with, and so is raking those leaves. What about collecting interesting cones, leaves, and seed pods to use in a fun Thanksgiving decoration?
What activities do you and your kids and grandkids enjoy together? How do you get them intrigued with gardening and nature? Click on "comments" directly below and share your ideas!

You Reap What You Sow...
by knollwood on September 6, 2010 at 12:00pm
...and if you sow bulbs this fall, look at the kind of rainbow you will reap next spring!
This bed of bulbs was in front of Knollwood this past spring, and it was stunning and simple.
We took a handful of this and a handful of that.
Shook 'em all up.
By mixing up early, mid, and late season bloomers, we had "wow" color all spring long. No angst of decision-making, no plotting and planning, just a dazzling display of whimsical color.
