The Howard School of Dance is proud to offer an extensive selection of dance education to the Miami Valley community.
We teach creative movement, ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop. We have classes for children as young as three years old. We also hold drop-in classes for adults with busy schedules. Read more about our classes or see what's new.
Howard School of Dance is home to a large group of competitive dancers. The Howard School of Dance Competitors compete several times each year in many styles of dance. We have award winners in solo, duet, trio, small group and large group categories.
We are the host school for the Centerville Contemporary Ballet. These dancers have received training and stage experience through our competitive program before moving on to the CCB Company.
Directed by Renee Cook, CCB has received national recognition from the Youth American Grand Prix Ballet Competition. CCB's repertoire ranges from barefoot contemporary/modern pieces to classical variations. CCB will present two concerts this coming season.
HSD is also home to the Neverquit Dance Crew. These dancers focus on Hip Hop dance styles and are trained in breaking, popping, locking, tutting, gliding, strobing, and stunting.
Founded by Kelly Dailey, the NQDC began its first season in 2008-2009. The members are ages 14-18 and attend Centerville, Oakwood, Miamisburg, Fairmont, Stivers and Jefferson High Schools.
