Congratulations to the Kids Learning Place Xenia South building! They were awarded their TWO stars by the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services in the "Step Up to Quality" program. They are the only child care center in Xenia with two stars!

Don't forget to mark your calendar for November 20th and attend A Learning Place's Annual Holiday Bazaar! There will be over 50 booths! Have lunch while you shop too; we will be serving chicken and noodles, sandwiches, and homemade pie!

The staff and youth in Greenville from the Gateway Youth Program and ACES gave their time during Make a Difference Day to clean up around the Darke County United Way, deliver pet food, and exercise and feed the pets at the DC Humane Society!

We are proud to announce that the staff and children at Kids Learning Place in Piqua donated a grand total of 500 items, weighing in at 420 pounds, to the Bethany Center for Make a Difference Day!

Congratulations to the Council on Rural Services staff members and children in Gateway Youth Programs for collecting more than 1,600 pounds of pet food and supplies for two local animal shelters in honor of Make a Difference Day 2010!

The Gateway Youth Program is participating in the "Green Light Project" again this year to raise awareness and show support for runaway youth and the National Runaway Prevention Month.

What role does early childhood education play in decreasing the drop-out rates? This article really highlights the importance of making sure quality pre-K education is available to ALL children, regardless of income.

Lots of progress on the building project for Kids Learning Place in Urbana too! This will give classroom space for a new infant and toddler program opening soon.

The Buildingn Profject at the Kids Learning Place in Piqua is moving along. This will give more classroom space for infant and toddler care and education.

welcomes back all the children and families as Kids Learning Place opens today for part day preschool and preschool home base programs. Excitement is running high as the busses are dropping off all those kids and the staff are welcoming them in the classroom.

The wheels on the bus go round and round.... Feeling nostalgic with school starting? Volunteer to ride the bus with our kids!
