A building material reuse warehouse, where your extras are somebody's essentials!
The Stock Pile is a non-profit building material reuse warehouse in Canton, Ohio, with the mission of improving housing conditions for the residents in northeast Ohio and effectively reducing the amount of reusable building material going into the waste stream.
The Stock Pile provides materials for decent, safe and sanitary housing to low to moderate income families and non-profit agencies. Used and overstock building materials are solicited from businesses and households. The donated doors, windows, sinks, carpet, tiles, appliances, paint, and other materials are then provided to members for a handling fee of roughly one third of the retail price. Free memberships are issued to those who are qualified by income verification. The Stock Pile was started in 1999 by the Stark County Regional Planning Commission who created the 501c3 non-profit agency, SCRPC Services, Inc. to operate this program.
