Another View was formed in 1978 to provide educational and counseling services.

The organization's officers have completed several independent research projects. Don See, president and Allen Huff, vice president, completed a project entitled “Successful Offspring from Single Parent and Low Income Families” - an evaluation of factors contributing to success of children from single parent and low income families. Allen has also written a book, entitled "Style Over Substance," about working with inner city youth. Don wrote an article (published with the Center of Substance Abuse Treatment), titled, “Culturally Specific Treatment for African American Women” (2003). Don's most recent book is titled: "Keys to a Successful Relationship" From Childhood to Adulthood

Understanding from where we come - and how we got there - is the key to going where you want to go. A person's culture - if not treated can impact the workplace, family, friends, and other lives. Self loved and self esteem can not be confused with anger.

Since the company's inception, we have broadened our scope to include work with organizations and families. We have found that traditional ideas, concepts and beliefs are oftentimes contrary to reality. Therefore, we strive for an understanding of “why” in order to reach problem resolution.

Our mission is assist individuals, couples and families, organizations, and communities to develop and reach their goals.

We provide marital, family, mental health, domestic violence and substance abuse counseling utilizing an eclectic approach to therapy. We believe it is critical to structure our therapeutic sessions to provide understanding of the clients and to allow the clients to feel free to participate in a structured fashion. The therapist’s goals for the initial session are to:

• socialize the patient into cognitive therapy.
• educate the patient about his/her disorder.
