Timber Wolf Specialty Hardwoods is a part of the Dale W. Riddle Forest Products family of businesses. The idea for the company first began in 1947 when a young Dale Riddle started working in the logging industry. He and brother Harry were set on someday starting a company of their own. Following that dream, a sawmill was built on the present Laurelville site in the early 1960s. New technologies were adopted and the company grew. Ten years later, Dale purchased a logging company, further expanding the companys size and assuring the quality and quantity of raw materials for the mill. Timber Wolf Specialty Hardwoods was started in 1998, a vision of Dale Riddles born to complete the cycle of responsible forest management.
The company philosophy is simple, take care of your people, your customers, the land, and the natural resources. In doing this, the company will prosper. Dale has also been a proponent in the hiring of family members and preserving our forest stands of ancient hardwoods.
