Anderson Township Pub, probably better known as ATP was opened in December,1982. John Stump had originally opened the "Locker Room" Restaurant on Beechmont Avenue in 1975, some items are re-created on ATP's current menu. Owner, John Stump, returned to the restaurant/pub business by purchasing the original "Pete's" Bar & Grill. ATP's main attraction other than its countless regulars would be it's array of burgers all named after local subdivisions. They now have added 2 low-carb items on the menu as well as a Veggie & Turkey Burger. ATP is also well known for it's daily homemade soups and a new Tuesday icon in a Mini-Burger originally known as the"Chicago-Mini", which a family of four (4) can easily be fed for $10.00. ATP is also known for the only true 2 oz. cocktail and proudly states so on signature signs at each entrance. A customer will almost always be recognized as the "ATP Family" which most have been at the Pub all 20 + years, including Ginnie (Mother), Sue Snow & Mary (ATP icon), John or Sue Stump are usually at the Pub everyday plus Wednesday and Friday evenings. Jeremy & Justin, their sons have both worked at the Pub from the time they were 12 years old and now that have graduated from college only work at the Pub on special occasions such as the night before Thanksgiving & St. Patrick's Day, when they are in town. Other ATP Family members are Karen, Tom (Sammy) & Becky Bell (Von Luehrte). ATP has been often compared many times to the "Cheers" of Anderson Township . Regulars and families have been coming to the Pub for quite sometime and now the kids from the early 80's are now bringing in their kids.

The Pub over the years have taken their cast of characters on vacations to Las Vegas, Bahama's, (Kevin Walker of the last Bengals Super Bowl team) was married on this trip. Also many Bengals & Reds trips to, Detroit , Cleveland , St. Louis , Chicago & Pittsburgh . Some of the celebrities who have been occasionally spotted are Tim Neahring, Kevin Walker, Solomon Wilcox, Tim Krumrie, Randy Kirk and many more. The Pub has hosted many celebrities mainly based on the fact we allow them to just be themselves. No one bothers you unless you want to be. Other celebrities include Marty Brennaman, Dave Miley, Jeff Piecoro, Jim O'Toole, the late Pudding Head Jones (Philadelphia Whiz Kids) who was a special friend from the Locker Room and many ex-Reds & Bengals. Other celebrities included Miss America (1991), Miss Massachusetts , and Kid of "Kid n Play".

The Pub features a non-smoking room at lunch as well as an on-line computer with direct and wireless internet access for laptops. All ATP regulars have their names engraved on brass plates on the bar and throughout the Pub. On Wednesday nights the Pub transforms (after dark) to an open mic night, thanks mainly to an ex-DJ who "walks the talk". It would be nice if you would know the words to the songs; however, it is not a requirement.

A great addition to the ATP was the Patio which everyone enjoys. With 18 TV's tuned to sports you can always find your favorite sporting event. Due to Reality TV and other popular TV series the Pub in the future will dedicate one room with 3 TV's tuned to Network TV or the program of popular choice.
