Survey results from a national consulting firm have found that for the first time in 10 years, law departments have shrunk their total legal spending. Of the 252 respondents to the Hildebrandt Baker Robbins 2010 Law Department Survey, more than 60 percent pointed to cutting back on the use of outside counsel.
