The Fairfield County Fair is one of the last county fairs of the year. It offers a variety of attractions including truck, tractor, and horse pulls, demolition derbies, concerts, bands, and horse races. There is also a large assortment of exhibits and rides for all ages. Dates for the Fairfield County Fair are October 10-16, 2010.
On Monday, October 11, 2010, country music artist Jason Michael Carroll will give a concert at 7:30 p.m. "Alyssa Lies", "Livin' Our Love Song" and "Hurry Home" are a few of his hits. This is a reserved seating event and tickets will be on sale at the Fair Board office on Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at 9:00 a.m. Ticket prices are track seating $20.00, grandstand seating $15.00. Visa and MasterCard will be accepted at a minimal handling fee. Checks, cash, and money orders are also accepted. Children under 1 are free to the reserved seating events and will have to be held. All other children will require tickets and will have a seat available for them.
This year at the fair on Tuesday, October 12, 2010, there will be a new event, performances from Steve Hall & Shot Gun Red at 7:30PM. They have performed on the TV shows Hee Haw and Nashville Now. It will be a tremendous music and comedy show so be sure to plan come to this show. Ten times they were nominated Country Comedy act of the year. Performed for twelve years on the General Jackson Show Boat . Tickets will cost $5.00 general admission and be purchased in advance or the day of the show.
Rules and regulations for all events may be picked up at the administration building on the fair grounds. Office hours are 8:30 to 12:00, starting August 31 the hours will be 8:30 to 4:00.
