This caps a busy spring for the group, which included performances at the Dayton Art Institute and the Federation Festival at the University of Dayton, where they earned a Unanimous Superior rating from the judges.
Federation Festival took place March 6 at the University of Dayton.
Our participating students (guitarists, violinists) performed splendidly for the judges
and for the honors recital - to which a record number of our students were invited
this year! Congratulations to all students and participating teachers!

kept the instruments ready to go onto the field!
During July and August 2009, excellent preparation for guitar lessons earned our students 255 entry certificates from which one was drawn for a Washburn cutaway electric classical guitar which was donated by a friend of McCutcheon Music who shares our mission to encourage students to do their best when studying with our professional teachers.
Congratulations to all our great guitar students who worked extra hard to get those entry certificates - you were all winners,
because you all improved so much over the summer!
Haley draws the winning entry...
With his teacher, Warren Kearney, and his mother, Loni
Have fun with your new guitar, Jacob! Happy picking!!!
Congratulations to our repair shop! When Soaring Sounds was in town this past summer, the Blue Jackets needed last-minute major repairs to 5 tubas, and Rich Ervin dropped everything (not literally!) and got the instruments ready for the performance the next day! The group returned with another load of instruments the next day, and again a third time! Talk about satisfied customers, and a repair staff that met the challenge!
