The cabins are only minutes from: two bike trails, The Longaberger Homestead and Golf Club, Backhand Gorge State Nature Preserve, Cranberry Bog State Nature Preserve, The Dawes Arboretum, Heisey Glassware Museum, Licking County Museum of Technology (The Works), Moundbuilders State Memorial & Indian Museum, and National Trails Race Raceway. These are just a few of the many places of interest in this area. We are approximately 45 minutes from Columbus, Lancaster, and Coshocton, 25 minutes from Zanesville and Roscoe Village.
Our location is East of Newark, Ohio off State Rt. 16. We have four private log cabins, over looking the small Brushy Fork Creek. Each cabin features one bedroom with queen-size bed, an extra large Great Room with gas fireplace, a sofa, and Direct TV with VCR, telephone and air conditioned. There is a full kitchen with microwave, a full bath, bedroom and bath linens are provided. The interior is log and hand-finished knotty pine walls, with vaulted ceilings. Front porch with hot tub. Air conditioned for summer comfort.
After a hike along the creek, guest can relax in the hot tub and watch the water gently flow by. Take a ride along the bike trails nearby. Wild turkey, bald eagles, and deer are abundant at Shelter Valley, pieces of flint-remnants of the Native Americans who once traveled along this same creek to visit what is now Flint Ridge State Memorial can still be found.
Spring brings the birth of calves, deer fawns and other wild life for you to enjoy. In Summer watch the beauty of Nature in full glory. Fall is wonderful as you feel the cool crisp air and enjoy the view of vibrant colors of leaves.
