Back in the day, it was $250,000 worth of equipment, an acoustically-designed room, and a good engineer and producer. But THAT was easy to find. ALL studios had that. NOW for $5000 or less, anyone can buy equipment, open their doors, and they're a "recording studio"
ALL computer-based recording systems and "studios in a box" are excellent sounding INSIDE the BOX!
But WHAT are you putting INTO it?

Nobody buys a guitar Monday and does a gig that Saturday! Unfortunately, lots of folks buy recording equipment, and start charging people $20 or $25 an hour to record them, without learning their equipment, developing their skills, or gaining the much-needed experience they need!
