Suntrol Co. was founded in 1975 and we are proud to be the premier window film dealership in Northeast Ohio, including Cleveland, Akron and Canton. Our focus is to provide the best value with superior customer service. In 2005, Suntrol Company began helping clients with both their solar and hurricane concerns in Southern Florida.

We strive to give you the very best in quality window films complete with full five-year, ten-year and lifetime warranties, which includes glass breakage insurance up to 5 years and seal failure insurance up to 3 years, as well as optional extended warranty coverage that will pick up your existing window manufacturer warranties.
We also sell and service all major brands of window film available for commercial, industrial, and residential settings.

Suntrol & Custom Tint, Inc. (Suntrol Company) of Bedford Heights (Cleveland), Ohio merged with Solar Control Products of Columbus, Ohio in July, 2007. Combining the two companies produced a better single company. Both companies were leaders and pioneers in the window filming industry for the last 39 years. The merged company is known as Suntrol & Custom Tint, Inc. and serves over 66% of the State of Ohio on a daily basis. In 2006, Suntrol also opened an office in southern Florida where they will continue to work with commercial and residential clients as well as Interior Designers.
Suntrol was founded in 1975 by Craig Paulson and was then purchased in 1987 by John Hansen who previously owned Rainbow Window Tinting. John Horn (Glen’s late father) founded Solar Control Products in 1969. Glen took over for him in 1985.
A sampling of Cleveland work is the Diamond Building, A J Celebreze Federal Building, and Erieview Tower. A sampling of Columbus work is the Columbus Museum of Art, Key Bank Building, and Midland Building. Along with large, commercial projects, our largest and most loyal client base is the residential customer that continues to rely on Suntrol for the highest quality work done by professionals in the window-filming field.
CPFilms the largest window film manufacturer in the world and maker of Vista, Llumar, and Llumar Magnum films calls on our company to take care of some of their large national projects. This merger was a culmination of various joint projects worked throughout the years all over the country, such as the GAO in Washington, DC, Customs Office in Port Everglades, FL, and a high-rise office in the Fashion Island area of Newport Beach, CA.
The company has been awarded Dealer Loyalty status by CPFilms for the years of 2005, 2006, and 2007 which relates to 25% growth. Suntrol belongs to many business organizations including, BBB, ASID, IWFA, BOMA, IFMA, Professional Remodelers of Ohio and Greater Cleveland Growth Association.
