Thai Namtip translates literally as "Thai blessing water." Receiving blessings by water is a large part of Thai culture. Whether it be a friendly dousing during Songkran, the Thai New Year, or the ritual cleansing of elders to show respect, or a light sprinkle received as blessing from a Buddhist priest, water is at the center of many ceremonies.
The lotus flower is a powerful symbol in Buddhism. Blessings from Buddhist priests in Thailand are often administered with a lotus blossom dipped in Namtip, and lightly sprinkled on the head.

Thai stir-fry dishes are cooked quickly in light oil. Prepared with crispy vegetables, the meat remains tender and flavorful.
