The environment is nurturing and healing ... the atmosphere beckoning and cozy.
There you are ... in a room bathed in soft lights, deeply relaxed in a warm cocoon of bliss. The gently heated table upon which you lay is cushioned with thick fleece and your body is enveloped in a luxurious, organic cotton sheet (and blanket, if it's cooler weather) that's soft as a cloud and smells clean as heaven.
You sigh, breathing in the subtle fragrance that was especially blended for who you are and what you need - an indescribable scent which soothes your troubled mind, chasing away the cares of your day.
Indian flutes or melodious piano music interspersed with the sound of ocean waves breaking upon the rocks of some distant, exotic shoreline can be heard in the background ~ so many subtle nuances which begin to transport you from all things mundane to that state of tranquility and relaxation where body, mind and spirit are refreshed, renewed and revitalized.
A light, heated oil, soothing lotion or luxurious cream is generously spread down your spine as hands well-versed in the healing arts begin to knead and stroke every aching muscle and painful, tension-filled area of your back, neck and shoulders into ahhhhh. Fifty minutes of paradise later, there isn't an ache or stress remaining.
