My name is Jeff Holland, attorney and partner at Holland & Muirden. I am a life-long resident of Medina County, Ohio. My partner and I started this practice in January, 1990 due in large part to our dissatisfaction with working with other law firms. We found that phone calls were rarely returned in a timely fashion; lawyers took on more cases than they could handle promptly; and smaller cases were neglected in favor of larger "more important" clients.

Our goal has been to treat every legal problem entrusted to us as though it were our own.

Attorney J. Jeffrey Holland has been practicing criminal law since 1987, representing clients in all manner of cases, ranging from minor traffic offenses to DUI to aggravated felonies. His experience includes criminal defense, criminal prosecution, service as an acting judge, DUI educator, and public service. Jeff has served as a criminal defense attorney for clients throughout northern Ohio, including Medina, Summit, Cuyahoga, Portage and Wayne Counties.

Our attorneys are experienced in guiding clients through mediation and the court system. We handle all aspects of family law, including divorce, dissolution, child custody, and support issues, in Summit, Medina, Portage, Wayne, Stark, and Cuyahoga Counties. We have argued domestic cases before several Ohio Appellate Courts and the Supreme Court of Ohio.

Conservation techniques such as a conservation easement may be used by individuals to protect family lands for future generations as natural areas, scenic views or for agriculture. Landowners can realize significant estate, income, property and capital gains tax savings. Holland & Muirden represents both individuals and non-profit land trusts throughout the region. Jeff Holland has 19 years experience in conservation issues, is the founder of the Medina Summit Land Conservancy, and currently serves as a Trustee for the Western Reserve Land Conservancy.

Our office in Sharon Center is located on the circle in the historic 1850 home of Luther Fitch, then postmaster general for Sharon Township. The house has served over the years as a private residence, physician's office, and most recently, the Hart and Mather Bed & Breakfast.

Our Fairlawn office has a strong emphasis on estate planning and probate administration, including trusts and wills.

Our office in the Fairlawn Professional Building on Miller Road in Fairlawn, Ohio provides estate planning and administration including wills, probate, trusts, powers of attorney, estate administration and guardianships, family law, bankruptcy, real estate and civil litigation. An attorney is available for after-hours and home visits.

We represent area companies and individuals engaged in the business of buying and selling investment properties. We can assist with contract and title/closing issues, as well as Landlord / Tenant problems associated with ownership of investment property.

Holland & Muirden has been appointed by over a dozen county humane societies to act as special prosecutor for animal cruelty cases. As long-standing members of the Animal Legal Defense Fund, we pursue a broad range of animal welfare issues, from veterinary malpractice, to estate planning for the care of a pet, to zoning issues relating to animals.
