The fluctuation of electrical current, marked by unusual dimming or flashes of brightness in lights, is a good indicator of a problem on a circuit.
Frequent tripping of GFCI receptacles often indicates a larger issue.
Any electrical mechanism that stops functioning or lights flickering can indicate a problem that needs addressing.Certain situations require the immediate shut-off of the power, including sparks or flames from a device or fixture or the smell of something burning that cannot be linked to an obvious source.
Resetting circuit breakers on a regular basis may mean your circuits are overloaded and need to be replaced.
Dimming lights when an air conditioner or other appliance comes on is a sign that there is a drop in voltage.
Overloading outlets or running extension cords to your appliances could pose a fire hazard and is best handled by having additional outlets installed.
Doing an electrical project yourself could result in damage to the home or injury to its occupants. We can handle everything from small tasks to rewiring entire homes.
Thermal Imagers are instruments that create pictures of heat rather than light. They measure radiated IR (infrared) energy and convert the data to corresponding maps of temperatures. Today, instruments provide temperature data at each image pixel and, typically, cursors can be positioned to each point with the corresponding temperature read out on the screen or display. Images may be digitized, stored, manipulated, processed, and printed out.
All objects have a certain temperature and emits waves of energy called infrared radiation. Hot objects emit more energy than colder objects. A thermal imager translates theses energy waves into a view able image, which shows a "heat picture" of a scene. The pictures to the upper right show the differences in temperature, represented by different colors. Notice, that the marker on each image shows the exact temperature at that location.
We preform infrared imaging that creates pictures of heat, opposed to light. This allows the human eye to see a heat picture. This in turn, benefits our customers by identifying "hot spots" and correcting them before the problem begins.
Benefits of Infrared Imaging:
Infrared Imaging surveys are non-invasive and non-destructive allowing the imaging to be completed while equipment is running, in production and on load.
Surveys are real time and produce fast, accurate and immediate temperature measurement and fault detection.
Increased reliability and efficiency of plant and equipment resulting in reduced breakdowns and stoppages and significantly reduced maintenance costs and production loses.
Assists businesses to comply with insurance requirements and complements their existing risk avoidance measures.
Surveys can be incorporated into existing predictive and preventative maintenance programs.
Increased energy efficiency.
Increased safety and reduces risk of fire
