James Optical, Inc. is a family owned and operated business. Jim and Cindy Fennewald have been Licensed Opticians for 37 and 27 years respectively. They are also joined by their daughter Mariah Schuster, also a Licensed Optician. As a family operated business, we pride ourselves in keeping high standards and continue to give the best value in eyewear to our customers.
Dr. William R. Kegerize joined us at James Optical in February 2007. He is a 2005 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Optometry, and a lifetime resident of NW Ohio. Following his graduation, Dr. Kegerize elected to pursue advanced training in disease management at The Eye Center of Toledo where he completed a one year Ocular Disease Residency. During the course of his residency he co-managed thousands of patients with various eye problems including cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. His experience was extensive in the area of refractive surgery co-management. He is certified to provide Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT), which is a non-surgical approach to the correction of nearsightedness. He is a member of the American Optometric Association. Dr. Kegerize resides in Curtice, Ohio with his wife Teresa and daughter Lily. He enjoys golfing; classic cars; and of course, is an avid Buckeyes fan!
