7 additional units consist of a moderate size bedroom with a shared bath.

Henderson House is the fulfillment of a dream of Penny Henderson. This dream was born when she began a frustrating search for an assisted living “home away from home” for her father due to his failing health. Her family visited many large and elaborate homes that were quite grand, but that also came with a considerable price tag. The prevailing atmosphere seemed to be “corporate business” rather than family friendly and she felt these assisted living facilities were lacking the loving, caring hands that would allow her dad to maintain his dignity, respect and quality of lifestyle.

The ability of Penny to act as a liaison between the family physicians, therapists, hospice, and other medical assistance is of great benefit to the residents and their families. Nineteen years of elder care experience. Assistance for physician appointments is available if needed for a nominal fee.

Henderson House is conveniently located in a secluded South Toledo neighborhood at 5719 Ryewyck Drive, Toledo, Ohio 43614. Ryewyck Drive is just off Heatherdowns Boulevard, just east of Holland-Perrysburg Road. The neighborhood is directly across from St. Joan of Arch church/school, Close to Interstate 475 and 80/90 Ohio Turnpike Exit 59.

Henderson House recognizes that the aging journey varies for each individual and their family dynamic. The care adapts to the individuals needs rather than the individual adapting to the needs of the environment. Ratios of staff to residents are small and personalized.
