The phone call that no one wants to make is the very call that Mike Coyne has heard countless times. And he answers each voice with care and respect, arranging to pick up a deceased family member, no matter what the time, day or weather may be. Mike, along with his partner, Anthony Vitantonio, understands that the final moments with loved ones can be difficult. That’s why they put families’ needs at the heart of their business.
Mike lives upstairs at his Willoughby branch, always on call. “I’m old school,” he says. “When someone needs me at 2 a.m., I’m there. Saying goodbye to loved ones should be exactly what the family wishes. My role is to help them with all the details to ensure everything from the viewing to the service to the paperwork and post-family follow up is handled compassionately and professionally.”
