We offer custom remanufactured steering units, and have served the central Ohio area from our retail store since 1979. And as a free service to our local customers we have delivery, testing services, pump reservoir can and pitman arm changes. In addition to helping local car & truck repair shops, commercial fleets, dealerships and the do-it-yourself installers with their steering needs, we welcome telephone orders, and ship to just about anywhere in the world.

Steer & Gear is a family-run business, with more than 30 years experience in power and manual steering remanufacturing. Our staff includes long-time friends who are automotive enthusiasts from drag racing to historical restoration. We are proud of our workmanship and surpass the industry standards.

When comparing a new replacement steering unit to a remanufactured steering unit—cost and performance is the bottom line. It is our goal at Steer & Gear to be as competitive with our pricing as possible, however, we will never lower our quality standards.

When comparing prices remember that performance matters. Consider the costs of repeated replacements, or poor performance. Maintenance and replacements cost you downtime too.
