Welcome to Grace Christian School!
Grace Christian School educates boys and girls for faithful participation in God's redemptive work in the world by cultivating academic excellence, Christian fidelity and lifelong learning.
At Grace Christian School, we believe that providing a solid Christian education involves much more than offering students courses in Bible and religion. For us, it is the integration of Biblical teaching in all areas and in all classes so that our students learn to see God in all facets of life. In our Christ-centered curriculum, God's word is the standard of truth and authority by which all subjects are taught.
GCS provides students in Kindergarten through eighth grade with rigorous coursework in Bible, Language Arts, Science, Math, History & Social Studies and Health. Additionally, all students take part in Spanish, Technology, Art, Music and Physical Education classes. Many students in multiple grade levels participate in elective classes including Latin, Orchestra and Choir. Middle school students also participate in a Government and Economics course, as well as courses in nutrition, core strength and home economics.
As our student body continues to grow, so do our facilities. In 2009, we opened our new state-of-the-art middle school building that houses eight classrooms as well as the commercial kitchen, cafeteria and gymnasium. The new building is also where our technology lab, music room and DIscovery Program classrooms are located.
Our elementary students and administrative staff are located in the elementary building that also includes the elementary Spanish and art classrooms.
PE is an important element of every student's comprehensive. In addition to PE, students have the opportunity to participate in various athletic clubs and clinics. Middle school students may also participate in competitive sports such as basketball, volleyball and soccer. We also offer a running club (cross-country and competitive 5K) called Road Warriors.
Drama dance, Newspaper, Yearbook, Student Council and National Junior Honor Society are just a few of the extra-curricular activities in which our students participate. We believe that taking part in meaningful activities outside the classroom is just as important as what's being taught during the school day. We encourage students to explore opportunities to further develop their gifts and talents.
Educating children today to become Christ-centered leaders of tomorrow is the hallmark of the education we have provided for more than 25 years. For more information about how your family can be part of the GCS family, please contact us.
